Selection Principle for Camlock Coupling
1. Select the bidirectional type, according to the diameter of the inner pipe (If the inner pipe of the equipment is 3/4", 1-1/2"-3/4" is optional)
2. Select the one-way type, according to the diameter of the fluid conveying pipe
3. Calculate the flow selection, according to the parameters of each specification and model in the manual
4. The camlock coupling is divided into two types: threaded connection and flange connection. If the equipment is always rotated in one direction, threaded connection or flange connection can be selected. The outer pipe thread is divided into left and right rotation. Selection Method: Look at the equipment’s rotation direction when you are standing in the direction of installing the camlock coupling. The rotation direction of the outer pipe thread should be opposite to the rotation direction of the equipment. The half-split flange can be rotated to both left and right sides.
There are two types of flange connections: threaded flanges (flanges with internal threads on the outer pipe) and half-ring flanges. Half-ring flanges are suitable for equipment that rotates in the right and left directions. The relevant parameters of the flange are generally provided by the users, or are produced according to the national standard.
5. Rigid connection is not allowed between the camlock coupling and the conveying pipeline. There must be a transitional connection of a flexible pipe. You can select the stainless steel metal hose produced by our company.
