Tactile Warning Surfaces
Tactile warning surfaces are required at curb ramps, hazardous vehicular ways, and transit platform edges. The warning surface must consist of truncated domes and contrast visually with adjoining surfaces. Composite strips allow the color to be molded throughout to meet the contrast color requirement. Composite strips also allow for better durability and eliminate the dome chipping/loss common with concrete cast warning surfaces. Cast in place and surface mounted systems are available.
The Ceramic Tactile tiles are available in 5 colors: Safety Yellow, White, Charcoal, Mid Grey and Forrest Green. The base of the tile measures 300 x 300 x 15mm with 5mm raised studs.
The tactile tiles present consistent, solid color, are UV stable and impervious to moisture throughout the life of the product.
