The stainless steel tactile indicator is a road facility specially designed to help the blind and the visually impaired to move forwards. Sidewalks for the blind are generally divided into two types. One is a sidewalk with strip-shaped tactile indicators. It is used to guide the blind and the visually impaired to move forward with confidence. It is also called go-ahead blind sidewalk. The another type is a sidewalk with tactile indicator studs. It is used to remind them that there is an obstacle ahead and it is time to turn. Hence, it is called warning blind sidewalk.

3. Construction Technique
(1) Materials Preparation: stainless steel tactile indicator studs and strips, AB dry-hanging glue, cable arrangement tool, broom,cleaning cloth, drilling machine, knife, hair dryer, brush, spoon
(2) clean the ground first, if necessary, wipe it with a rag
(3) arrange the cables according to the path on site. mark the punching point. The cable should be straight.
(4) For Drilling: firstly use a small drill to break the ground, and then change to a larger head to punch holes. Use a hair dryer to blow the debris out of the hole. It is best to test the ground before drilling. If the ordinary drill does not work, use a diamond head instead.
(5) apply AB dry-hanging glue in the hole (If special reinforcement is required, glue can also be applied under the stainless steel tactile indicator tiles)
(6) install the stainless steel tactile indicator strips and studs
(7) use a rubber hammer or a wooden hammer to tighten the tactile indicator strips and studs.
(8) clean up debris on site
